Junior IT Application Manager

Are you a young, talented IT professional with a passion for retail, e-commerce, or IT? Hunkemöller is seeking an eager and ambitious Junior Application Manager to join our IT team. In this role, you will support the management of critical applications within our landscape, such as our Order Management System (OIL), Product Information Management (InRiver), Customer Service Platform (SFSC), Product Lifecycle Management (BambooRose), Marketplace Order Management (Tradebyte), HR tool (Workday), Workforce Management Tool (Manus), and two home-built applications. You will join a team of experienced application managers who will guide and mentor you as you grow in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Maintenance and Support: Ensure the smooth operation of applications, monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement updates and patches as necessary.
• Business analysis: Liaise with business users to gather requirements and feedback, provide training and support to end-users
• Projects: Engage in a supportive role in project teams to launch new business needs into our application landscape. You will make be involved in the entire end-to-end process of projects and will fullfill various activities belonging to that specific project phase (e.g documentation, testing, cutover activities, after care)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of software development, application management, and IT infrastructure
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, devise effective solutions, and perform performance monitoring and reporting.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with diverse teams and manage stakeholder relationships, and strong negotiation skills for vendor management.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and how applications support them, with the ability to align application strategy with business goals and gather and interpret business requirements.
• Location: Living in the Netherlands, preferably within commuting distance of Hilversum or Almere.
• Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
• Work experience: 0-3 years of experience in a related field
