  • Continuously drive quality and innovation in your product area. Set & Manage seasonal Technical strategies on product, process & innovation, present to the business internal and external.

  • You’ll attend and share relevant input in all key strategic development meetings, from Trend- / Strategy and product meetings.


  • Manage the department(s) through the complete product development process & Lead on product innovations– make sure to move at same speed or faster than the competitors.
  • You’ll initiate improvements to both the fit and quality levels of our products and procedures.
  • Responsible for technical details in design pack handover to Factories with Buying & design team.
  • You’ll advise our internal design and buying teams, from a technical point of view, in relation to fitting.
  • Manage sample planning – Fit – componentry, instruct vendors to ensure garments are manufactured to specifications and quality.
  • In order to create consistency, you’ll monitor agreed quality standards and follow up using the SupplierHub website with our suppliers and internal teams.
  • Manage all garment components development with nominated sourcing.
  • Leading seasonal risk assessment with departments and consult on testing.
  • Provide expertise to designers and vendors on product construction, component and technical innovations.
  • Support the buyers from technical aspects to maintain the Margin & Delivery.
  • Manage the block development project: set up standards for fitting, grading, fabrics & trimmings.
  • You’ll be accountable and responsible for signing off fit samples, red seals, pre-production samples, size specs, product quality and product information.
  • Monitoring return rates on weekly base and action fast on technical solutions and taking the appropriate action.
  • Compliance management is key. You’ll ensure all necessary changes are handled and followed up accordingly with all internal and external stakeholders, you’ll also manage the technical critical path, in line with the overall business CP.
  • You’ll ensure all suppliers are testing HKM products in line with the Product Compliance File in cooperation with the Compliance Coördinator.
  • If procedures on the SupplierHub website are not adhered to, you’ll pick up on this and take action using a pro-active and precise approach.
  • You‘re informed on production issues in factories by the Garment Technicians, set up and send out CAP’S.
  • During business travel, you’ll visit our suppliers in the Far East and check up on quality standards. In-line & Box stock controls at Factories – working closely with CSR team for factory on boarding.

Factory inspections on regular basis per year and Vendor performance evaluation.

  • Regular store visits cross different EU countries.


  • You’ll manage, lead, upskill and inspire (Junior) Garment Technicians, reporting into the Technical Manager. Develop your teams personal and technical skills, all in line with company KPI’s

You are our perfect candidate, if you:

  • Have an understanding of manufacturing, textiles and garment construction
  • Have the ability to work alone as well as in a team
  • Highly motivated
  • Clear communication skills
  • Are able to work under tight deadlines and cope with pressure
  • Have a keen interest in fashion and textiles
  • Have an eye for technical details
  • Have a Bachelors-/Masters-/HBO-degree in, fashion and/or clothing and quality control
  • Gained at least 4 years’ experience in a similar function
  • Have a good knowledge of the English language (spoken & written)
  • Have a good knowledge of MS-Office
