What will you do? 

• You will perform incident and business continuity management activities on a phased approach: 

• Gap analysis of the detection capabilities such as event log triggers, event normalization and visibility, eventual blind spots across the IT landscape 

• Assistance in the analysis of the threat surface 

• Reporting on possible improvement areas, especially in the automation of detection and response capabilities 

• Assistance in the creation and completion of disaster recovery plans. 

• Analysing possible improvements in the event correlation capabilities and escalation processes. 

• Other activities arising from the findings and/or correlated to the Project. 

About you: 

• Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 

• Strong understanding of information risk. 

• Experience or familiarity with SIEM, SOAR or related technologies that enable multi-vector threat visibility across cloud environments. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with different stakeholder audiences. 

• Self-motivated and aiming to pursue a career in cybersecurity. 

• Fluent in written and spoken English. 

• Proactive and curious attitude that enables threat hunting capabilities.

• Travel Allowance: Max. 23€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.

Eligibility Criteria   

For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in February 2026. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply:  

• You are an EU citizen,  

• You are on a Family/Partner visa, or  

• You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third-party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
