The role of the Business Analyst will be to closely align with our business partners during their projects which seek to understand business processes, analyze the current design process and identify areas for optimization. You’ll lead the changes needed by analyzing their impact on other systems and business processes whilst capturing, analyzing and translating the needs of our business partners into clear requirements. Communicating clearly with these stakeholders throughout these activities will be essential. In addition to working closely with our business partners, the Business Analyst will work in collaboration with Project Managers and Business Relationship Managers within IT to execute the strategy set for the business.
Your main tasks will include:
Assisting senior business partners through the analysis of processes, defining desired changes and recommending technical solutions to address them
Analyzing the impact of desired changes on current business processes (directly and tangential) and systems, to help recommend the best direction and solution
Preparing and defining detailed specifications, requirements, scoping documents and logic flowcharts for the development and implementation of application programs and modifications
Validating complex requirements, including functional validation and traceability and consensus building
Testing and analyzing each component/phase of the systems development life cycle including the project requirements, design and programs. Developing complex test strategies
Conducting quality-control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. You will also ensure complex project requirements are executable, testable, complete and not ambiguous.
Executing complex tests according to established plans and scripts, documenting and communicating results. You will collaborate with developers and/or end users to determine appropriate solutions and retest corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
Assisting the development, implementation and maintenance of documentation and test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow
Our ideal candidate:
Finished an IT related (Bachelor / Master)
Gained at least 3 years’ work experience as a Business Analyst, performing the above duties
Is able to think critically with strong analytical skills
Proven experience working with many demanding stakeholders whilst balancing competing requirements and priorities with strong influencing and collaboration skills
Is proactive and has a true service-oriented mind set (i.e. positive and ‘can do’ attitude)
Has proven experience and knowledge of Waterfall, Agile methodologies
Has retail- work experience (plus)
Is fluent in English (Dutch or German language skills would be a plus), both verbal and written
