Hunkemöller is looking for a new Allocator who can support our Merchandise team. 

Working as an Allocator within the Branch Merchandising function which is part of the Merchandising and Planning department you will contribute to ensure the optimum stock levels are maintained in all locations, Offline and Online, to maximize sales and profit. 

You will manage the flow of stock and effectively distribute the stock to Stores and Ecommerce channels. The allocator monitors category and stores sales, manages and resolves store queries, creates reports and recommends actions to improve stock availability and individual store performance. 

Reporting to the Junior Branch Merchandiser within the Branch Merchandising Team, working closely with other Product Merchandising, Buying, Logistics, Retail and Omni-channel team(s). 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

Allocation & Stock Management  

  • Allocate initial stock to stores based on the Assortment plan and Allocation matrix 
  • Build and manage stock levels in Stores and Online (best and slow sellers management, new store openings and closures)
  • Analyse historical sales data and market trends to anticipate future demand accurately
  • Set up, Review & Amend Replenishment Parameters to ensure the correct stock is being allocated to the correct country/channel 
  • Propose and implement inter store transfers and movement of stock to achieve optimal stock balances 

Reporting  

  • Produce Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports
  • Create analysis on Country/Channel/Store performance at department/category or sub category level with the aim of highlighting opportunities or risks and propose appropriate actions to A&R to maximize opportunities & mitigate risks 

Other 

  • Conduct regular store visits & main frequent contact with Store & Omni-Channel teams   
  • Work with Logistics team to ensure Pick Locations are cleared at optimum time  
    • Work closely with the Product Merchandising Team, to ensure alignment between assortment plans and stock allocation; recommend changes to the future buys based upon current performance 
  • Participate in Team and Inter Department Meetings

  • Some experience within Merchandising &/or Retail would be a plus 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
